1.Cooling System Leakage Test .
1.1Removing the original radiator cap from the radiator or expansion tank.
1.2Choose the appropriate adapter from the test set and connect it to the radiator or expansion tank.
1.3Now connect the hand pump(1) to the adapter.
1.4Press the test pump until pressure of 10 to 15psi is reached CAUTION:Avoid a pressure of 35psi or more! Check the pressure gauge. If the displayed value decreases, the leakage is in the cooling system.
The cooling system has a leak, if there is pressure drop or water loss.
2.Radiator Cap Leakage Test .
2.1Remove the original radiator cap.
2.2Choose the appropriate joint 2a or 2ba and connect it to the radiator cap.
2.3Press the test pump for few times and watch the pressure gauge. The pressure falling if the cap is defective. 2.4Compare the measured pressure values with standard-pressure of radiator cap.
Material: ABS+ metal
MAINTENANCE / STORAGE
Attach the test adapter to quick coupler of hand pressure pump, then press the hand pressure pump few times to push remnant water out the test adapter.
Drop pneumatic oil into the air hole of the hand pump end to lubricate the piston of hand pump.
3.FILL COOLING SYSTEM
3.1Open the hood and attach a vacuum pump with hooks on the hood.
3.2Remove radiator or reservoir cap. Drain completely coolant at a suitable place. The procedure can be found in the vehicle-specific service literature.
3.3Connect a suitable vehicle specific adapter or the universal adapter to the radiator /reservoir.
3.4Be sure that the valve 3 to "ON" And valve 7 to "OFF" Position.
3.5Connect the vacuum pump to compressed air and switched the "ON/OFF"Switch to "ON". Switch valve NO.3 to "OFF" If a pressure of 20-25inhg(60-50cmhg)is reached.
3.6Connect the coolant hose to the vacuum pump and put the hose into a container filled with coolant.
3.7Make sure that the valve NO.3 is in the "OFF" Position before the coolant is be topped up.
3.8Make sure that the hose is filled with coolant.
3.9Switch the valve NO.7 to "ON", the coolant be sucked out of the container.
3.10If the pressure indicator has dropped to "0", the cooler should be sufficiently filled, otherwise the procedure can be repeated.
