Note for use of photoelectric edge finder
Please Note :All it don't include batteries!!!
(1) Before using edge finder, ensure that the two right-angled edges of the workpiece are parallel to the X axis and Y axis respectively.
(2) When using photoelectric edge finder, do not open the spindle motor to avoid damage.
(3) Photoelectric edge finder is the use of photoelectric princle, the workpiece must be an electric conductor, otherwise it can not be used. At the same time, the loop is formed through the spindle, the bed, the workpiece, so the bottom of the workpiece can not have insulating objects.
(4) Keep the edge finder and the workpiece clean, without metal debris or burr attachment, so as not to make the indicator light when there is no contact with the workpiece, and get the wrong result.
(5) When moving from the work-piece side to the other side, the edge finder should be lifted to avoid damaging the edge finder in the movement.
(6) When fast contact with the workpiece, pay attention to the minimum step size close to the workpiece, so as to improve the accuracy.
(7) Because there is radial runout in the steel ball part of the edge finder, we adopt the method of measuring the edge and rotating the edge finder 180° to measure the other edge to eliminate the error (ensure that the same point of the edge finder is used to contact the workpiece). When measuring one side, measure once, rotate half circle, measure again, add the two results divided by 2, likewise, eliminate the error caused by jumping. Note that when rotating, do not hold the edge finder by hand for rotation, but hold the card head for rotation.
Turn, but hold the head of the card to spin.
(8) After the experiment, according to the standard method to find the center of the workpiece, the error is within 0.02mm, looking for the workpiece edge coordinates can achieve the same precision.
