Directions for use of portable fabric steamer:
1. Make sure steamer is not plugged in. Twist water reservoir cap clockwise to open and remove.
2. Use tap water , no additives. Fill water reservoir to the maximum fill line. Do not overfill.
3. After filling, place water reservoir cap in grooves on top of the main unit and twist counter-clockwise, aligning same arrows on cap and base unit.
4. Turn steamer on by sliding switch up to the “On” position. indicator light will go on.
5. Allow approximately two (2) minutes for main unit to heat up.
6. Begin using portable fabric steamer by pointing the steam outlet holes at areas you want to steam, with an up and down motion, directing the steam toward the wrinkled area. The fabric should be pulled down firmly or held tightly in order to remove wrinkles.
7. Always hold steamer in upright position. Never tilt forward or backward while steaming.

9. Do not leave the steam in one spot for a long period of time. This could cause damage to the area.
10. When steamer is empty, turn of by sliding switch down to “Off” position and then unplug. Allow to cool for approximately five(5) minutes before refilling water reservoir with proper amount of warm tap water. Do not remove cap until unit has cooled. NEVER touch steam outlet holes until you unplug the unit and allow it to cool down.
11. When you are finished steaming, turn steamer off and unplug. The water inside the reservoir remains hot after the unit is turned off.
12. Once the unit has completely cooled down, empty excess water from the redervoir. After emptying, replace cap, aligning arrows, and store in a cool, dry place. (To continue steaming, return to step 1.)
Cleaning tips:
To remove hard water deposits, we recommend filling the tank with half and half fresh tap water. Plug in unit and allow to heat for approximately one (1) minute. Do not let the water come to a boil. Let it cool down for at least five(5) minutes. Rinse well with fresh tap water. Do this as necessary.
* Portable fabric steamer is intended for use on fabrics and should not be used as a cleaning device for things.
