Explanation:

5A step-down constant voltage and constant current module, with MPPT function, charging the battery with solar panel can increase the charging current by more than double, effectively shorten the charging time and reduce the volume of the solar panel. It can charge batteries, lithium batteries, etc., with turn light control, which is convenient to observe the charging status. It can be equped with a multi-function voltmeter, and the input voltage, output voltage, output current, and output power can be visually displayed, and can be used without a multimeter. Charging instructions:

Red light when charging, green light when fully charged. The light detection method is current. When using solar panels for power supply, the charging current during the solar hour is also very small, lower than the current of the turn light, and the green light will also turn on, but it is not fully charged at this time, please pay attention to the distinction. With a charged meter, you will see the charging current more directly.

Note: The current detection of the module is low-end detection, please do not directly short-circuit the negative pole of the input and the negative pole of the output with a wire!

How to set voltage, current and turn lights (If the module has no output voltage, please turn the MPPT setting potentiometer clockwise to have voltage output.):

1. Set the output voltage: According to the float voltage value of the battery you want to charge, or the voltage value of the LED after series or parallel connection, adjust the constant voltage potentiometer (CV), and set the output voltage to the required voltage. (without load)

2. Set the current indicator of the turn light: After setting the output voltage, turn the CC potentiometer counterclockwise about 20 turns, short-circuit the output with the 20A current gear of the multimeter, adjust the CC potentiometer to the current you need to turn the light, and then adjust the turn Turn the light potentiometer to the point where the green light is just on.

3. Set the constant current value: After adjusting the light current, the 20A current file of the multimeter is still short-circuit output, (the direct wire with voltage and ammeter can be short-circuit output), adjust the CC potentiometer to the current value you need to set. (When the output current is set by the short-circuit method, the actual charging current will be smaller than the short-circuit setting current, and the battery should have residual voltage. If you want to set an accurate charging current, please connect the discharged battery to the output Then set the output current.)

Note: When setting constant current, the voltage should be higher than 1.25V, otherwise the constant current function will fail.

4. Set the MPPT voltage value:

A. The method of setting with an adjustable regulated power supply: adjust the adjustable regulated power supply to the voltage value to be set (such as 18V), and the output is not connected to the load. When the module has an output voltage, adjust the MPPT counterclockwise. Set the potentiometer to the critical point where the output voltage is just reduced.

B. The method of setting directly with the solar panel: the input is directly connected to the solar panel, the output voltage is set according to the load, part of the light shining on the solar panel is blocked, and the output is connected to the load. Use a multimeter to measure the output voltage of the solar panel (switch to the input voltage display with a voltmeter), and adjust the MPPT potentiometer until the voltage of the solar panel reaches the maximum power point voltage. (The actual maximum power point voltage of the solar panel will be lower than the nominal voltage, such as 18V solar panel, the maximum power point will be around 17.5V.) You can also adjust the MPPT value by measuring the output current, and connect the current gear of the multimeter in series. Between the output and the load (the one with the meter can be switched to the current display), the MPPT potentiometer can be adjusted back and forth until the output current reaches the maximum value.

Note: When using the solar panel to directly adjust the MPPT value, when the power emitted by the solar panel is greater than the load power, please block part of the light shining on the solar panel first to reduce the power of the solar panel, so that the MPPT value can be adjusted.
