The Flat Spring Calers use 45# medium carbon steel for the body, special quenching treatment to improve the scribin hardne to HRC45-47. Metal Spring and screw fine adjust device can adjust the drawing size and lock the size set. The maximum drawing radius size will be the leg length.The circle spring drawing instrument / scribing compa and calers can be used in metal marking off (HRC22 and le than will be better ), wood and clothing preparation manufacturing. Though Rust protection oil will be used to the scribing gage surface for rust proof, but the polished metal surface will also be easier to be rusted, regular oil protection is needed if has such requirement.
