·  Since the output voltage of the tester is over 1500V, For your safety in testing, Connect    the light tube before you switch on the tester and DO NOT touch any metal parts              connected to the output. ·  The LCD tester is not appropriate for  long-running operation because the tester will be    very hot. ·  Keep it away from children！ ·  Please always pay attention to your safety!

INSTRUCTIONS

· MODEL : GJ3A · Vin : AC 85-265V · Vout : ＞1500V · Temperature : -20℃ - ＋40℃ This LCD tester is used to test the CCFL/EEFL Light Tube or the Laptop and TV with CCFL/EEFL backlight. Due to the inert gas filled in the CCFL, we cannot simply judge if the tube is good or bad with a multimeter. We may use GJ3A to judge if the tube is good or bad.

PRODUCT DEMONSTRATION

Plug in the power and turn on the power switch. The tester is working properly when the ammeter reads below 20.0. Then turn off the power switch. For now, we can start testing after we connect the Light Tube to the tester.

How do we tell if the CCFL/EEFL is good or bad

a. LCD Tube Fracture: if the LCD tube had fractured in the screen, the current displayed on             GJ3A is below 200mA and not change. b. Sparking: If the leads of the tube is welding false or the rubber insulation layers on both sides       of the tube are carbonized and damaged, the current displayed on GJ3A will change,                   sometimes higher sometimes lower. Or the current increase with time and even exceeds 1A.
