This repment hood release latch is a repair for the OEM plastic latch which will often craand break off the end of the cable. This can be installed in 5 to 10 minutes.

This is NOT for the entire cable, just for the repment latch handle that fits on the end of the cable.

The normal cable repment would take between 1-1/2 and 2 hours. This repment latch can be installed in a few minutes.

It requires the removal of the corner plastic kiplate. Then about 1" of the remaining plastic must be trimmed off the end of the cable with wire s.

Slip it over the end of the cable, tighten the 2 set screws, rep the corner plastic kiplate, and you are finished.
