This USB sharing switch is to share a USB device like printer, scanner, HDD storage, etc for two computers via USB connections. And you can shift via hot key (Ctrl+F11) from one computer to another to use the external USB devices. It’s USB powered and no external adapter is needed.

Note :
Connect one end of a printer cable (named Cable1, length: 5m) to a printer while the end plug into the USB port of the Sharing Swicth, whose end has two USB ports named PC1, PC2, which can be connected to the two PCs with two USB A to B printer cables (Cable2 Cable3, length: 5m). Then PC1 and PC2 can share one printer. But now the total working cable length is Cable1+Cable2 (or Cable2+Cable3). Which means 10m! It is well known that the transmission signal will become weaker and weaker as the cable becomes longer and longer. So it is vital to choose printer cable with high quality. Although the printer cable works well when it connects one PC to the printer directly, we can not guarantee that two printer cables plugged into Sharing Switch can still work.
